2009 Oklahoma Golf Association
Junior Tournament Series

The Oklahoma Golf Association is pleased to provide the 2009 Junior Tournament Series.  This has been developed to create an avenue for Oklahoma's accomplished junior players to compete in nationally ranked tournaments here in Oklahoma.

Eligibility:

  • These events will be offered to junior boys a who have not entered college.   Please check the individual tournament for age requirements. Maximum GHIN handicap of 7.0 are eliglible to enter.

Ranked Tournaments:

  • All three of these 36-hole events will be sanctioned by the Junior Golf Scoreboard, and ranking points will be awarded to qualifying finishers.  These rankings are very helpful when compiling playing resumes and also get the attention of college coaches.
  • The results of these events will be made available to state/regional college coaches by email, and should enhance players' chances to scholarship opportunities.

Entry Information:

  • Players who wish to participate will need to join the OGA and pay the yearly $50 membership fee or establish a GHIN handicap from a GHIN golf course.  This will also qualify players to participate in other OGA events.
  • Entry fees are $125 per 36-hole event.  The tournaments are two day events.  The Junior Boys Championship entry is $125.
  • Practice rounds will be at the discretion of the host clubs and will be at the players expense.
